Franki's Fund™

Franki's Fund™ is another way Lady Rebel Club® is helping its community. As marginalised business owners ourselves, we understand your frustration with the lack of support for women and all marginalised genders in business. Add to that being disabled / person with a disability or neurodivergent, and we know getting grants, investment, awards and scholarships is hard. So we've decided to do something about it

We're starting small yet will continue to grow and support more and more of our global community.

Jennifer, Founder of Lady Rebel Club®, (pictured on the right with her arm around her sister, standing on the left) always knew she wanted to support her community with support, awards and scholarships. Being marginalised herself and having faced biases when applying for grants and funding - she understood too well the additional hurdles her community faced.

So when she lost her sister in the summer of 2023, Francesca, or Franki as her friends called her, Jennifer decided to create Franki's Fund to house all of this type of support that she wanted to offer. Starting small with various awards - she aims to grow it to the largest intentionally diverse and inclusive pot for funding, awards and grants.

Plus she wanted a way to celebrate her sister's life and build a legacy around her, after her sudden passing at only 27.

Franki was a very talented painter, poet, photographer and was a funny, intelligent, spirited and caring person. She was also neurodivergent, had chronic conditions and struggled with mental health conditions.

With Jennifer struggling with biases and discrimination herself, and having her own struggles around mental health and being neurodivergent - she deeply understood the desperate need for more support for marginalised business owners and creatives and the massive impact that even something small can have. Jennifer sees Franki's Fund as a way of supporting other women like her sister, while honouring her memory in a way she believes she would have loved.

Before her passing, Franki was preparing to enter a poetry competition and here is the bio that she wrote:

"Francesca Lith is a first generation Colombian American residing in Brooklyn, NY. She is a poet, photographer and multimedia artist. Her work is influenced by the ebb and flow of dealing with mental health struggles, trauma, love and loss, and finding the beauty within. Through her poems she aims to challenge preconceived notions, and remind others they are not alone."

Below is Francesca from 2016 and below that are two of her black and white photographs on tiles and a collage with her, flowers and her cat Spit.
