Accessibility Statement at Rebel World ltd

This accessibility statement applies to all websites, platforms, and apps owned by Lady Rebel Club® and Rebel World ltd.

Lady Rebel Club® & Rebel World ltd strive to ensure that its digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Lady Rebel Club® & Rebel World ltd have invested significant resources to help ensure access for all users, including people with disabilities, with the strong belief that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, comfort and independence.

Digital accessibility is not just a target we aim to achieve, but an ongoing commitment that we carry in every aspect of our digital service delivery. We recognise that this requires continuous monitoring, improvement, and adaptation. In the sections below, we elaborate on the various efforts that have been undertaken to address our progress in ensuring digital accessibility for all.

A key element of our accessibility initiative is our engagement with a third-party accessibility consulting organisation UserWay to help bring the website into conformance. We use industry standard accessibility methods and tools to accomplish this, in accordance with the relevant version of
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) as set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
the internet’s main international standards-setting organisation.

As part of our steadfast commitment to enhancing and addressing accessibility challenges, we use developers who are expert in digital accessibility.

Our approach to accessibility includes both manual accessibility auditing and automated scans.

ladyrebelclub.com, ourrebelworld.com and weroarmagazine.com and the WRM digital magazine issues all make available the UserWay Website Accessibility Widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server.

The Widget offers user-triggered enhancements that allow visitors to improve the accessibility of the site. These features will, when selected, increase font size, pause animations, change colour contrast, and more. People can choose combinations that suit their needs, as per WCAG Level AAA.

The site has enabled Automated Remediation Technology (ART) for all visitors, whether they use assistive technology or not. ART does not detect Assistive Technology usage; rather, it improves accessibility for all site visitors regardless of ability by deploying remediation capabilities such as (not a complete list):

Images and other non-text elements have alternative text associated with them when required;Keyboard navigation is improved with aids such as focus indication and skip links.

Any third-party application should allow users to avail of multiple accessibility tools. The app can be opened usually at the top of the screen. Click the app icon to open the tools and select the tool/s you require. You can also relocate the app icon from one side of the screen to the other or hide it altogether.

We’ve also done our best to make the website text as simple as possible to understand. We have highlighted links and use language on buttons that says what the buttons do or where they take you. We also have captions on vidoes. If we have missed any, please let us know and we'll do our best to adjust them.

When accessing the digital publication of WE ROAR Magazine™, there is a separate set of accessible tools you can access for the digital magazine itself. Note, when clicking on the digital magazine link, it will open in a new window. At the top you'll see an accessible icon that you can click to access these additional tools. Please note that it works best on desktop.

Please be aware that all of our platforms are hosted by third parties and/or are third-party tools, apps, software or platforms. We do not have access to root hosting or code for any of these and thus can only do our best to enhance accessibility that we have access to. Also, like all apps and tools, sometimes they glitch and/or break. If a tool is not working when you first try and use it, please try refreshing the page, waiting a few minutes and then try again.

Note, we can’t be held responsible or liable for any third-party tool, application, software, or connection on our websites. We are also not liable for the content, platforms, tools, software or accessibility to any person, organisation, platform, app, tool, software or brand that we may link to or connect with. By using any of our platforms, websites, or apps, you are agreeing to this.

Lastly know that not only are we human, and all humans are not perfect and make mistakes. We are always looking to improve and appreciate your grace, feedback and help in doing better.
